Awareness

Awareness and understanding of your habits and patterns that cause distress in your life.

Compassion

Learn how to motivate yourself with kindness vs. criticism.

Presence

Developing present moment awareness and attention to engage more fully in life and relationships.

Interactivity

Interactive experiences, learning and practicing transformative skills through meditation, movement and journaling. 

Integrate

Apply and integrate the practice and insights you've learned into your life, work and relationships to live more authentically with aliveness and purpose.

Course Description

This Six week Introductory Training (SIT) in Mindfulness will teach you to develop a focused and embodied attention, self awareness, emotional intelligence, and greater sense of ease and well being. You will learn a variety of mindfulness meditations and practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily activities at work, home and in relationships.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Practice: mindful meditation by developing awareness of breath, body, feelings and thoughts
  • Apply: daily application of Mindfulness skills to cultivate mental and physical resilience
  • Cultivate: a quality of embodied awareness
  • Recognize: unproductive patterns, both within themselves and in workplace interactions, and learn how to respond more effectively 
  • Explore: understand and work with a range of emotional experience

About Michelle

Michelle Libi, M.A., LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience. She is currently in private practice where she provides individual, couples and family therapy, consultation and supervision. She is a certified mindfulness instructor through the Mindfulness Training Institute and has an extensive background in the practice of mindfulness and meditation. Michelle has a phenomenal reputation as a facilitator, educator and trainer and will provide an enriching experience.
